Unscripted Sketches #100 & Blog Anniversary!

Hi ya'll!

I'm SO excited to bring you today's Unscripted Sketches project.  We're celebrating not only our 100th sketch, but our 2nd blog anniversary as well.  There's tons of fun stuff happening at the US blog today.  You should head over there to see what's up.  Now, if you're visiting from Suzanne's blog, you're right on track.  If not, you can go to the Unscripted Sketches blog and start from the beginning.

In honor of our anniversary and 100th sketch, this week we have a fabulous sponsor.  Our sponsor this week is Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  These images are just darling, and they were nice enough to let us use a couple for this weeks challenge.  You should head over to their store to see the fabulous stamps they have to offer.  One lucky winner will receive an SCRS rubber stamp.  Hurry, go check them out!

For my project this week, I used Celebrating Chloe.  I love anything Chloe, so it was a no brainer as to which image I was going to use.  Here is my card.

I did a couple things differently this time.  I actually paper pieced the balloons, and I masked her off so that I could stamp the background.  Now, ya'll know I'm not one to fussy cut hardly at all, but it was quite fun, and I love my results.  I think she turned out great!  I embossed my background, added coordinating strips of paper and a sentiment banner and was done.  Very easy to create and very bright and cheerful.

So that's all for me today.  Your next stop on the hop is SarahKaye's blog.  And, before I forget, my clue for the word scramble is C.  Now hop on over to SK's blog for the next clue and to see her fabulous project!

Have a great day!

CCC #15 - Season's Greetings

Hi ya'll!

I'm back to packing again today, ugh.  The good thing is that I'm getting it done ahead of time.  I'm not actually moving until the end of this month.  Thank goodness for plastic totes and garage space to store everything. :)

I have another Christmas card for you today.  The challenge this week is to use Elves.  Keep in mind that the challenge is optional, and any Christmas/winter card will do.  For this weeks challenge, click HERE.

I had a really fun time coloring Elf Oliver from SCRS.  I colored him in non-traditional colors to go with SPCC #90 which was Cherry Cobbler, Bashful Blue and Real Red.  I also used THIS sketch from The Studio card challenge.  I love how he turned out and my card isn't bad either. :)

I hope you'll head over to the CCC blog today to see what everyone else has created for you.  How are you doing with your Christmas card stash so far?

Have a great day!

2011 CCC Week #3 - Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday!

It's definitely starting to cool off here in the DFW area, but I heard a rumor that it's supposed to get up to 70 degrees here tomorrow.  Now that's not very holiday like, is it?  I guess I shouldn't complain, I get to wear my flip flops for another day. lol

Sunday means another Christmas Card Challenge.  For this weeks challenge, we were to incorporate holiday travel of some sort.  Keep in mind, the challenges each week are optional.  Any Christmas or winter card will do.  For this weeks challenge, click HERE.

I was very happy that I had this image of Sledding Chloe from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  Without her, I would have had to use the internet once again to find an image.  I colored my image with my Copics, and then used some of my new Nesties to cut it out.  I embossed the background with the Tim Holtz snowflake texture fade, added my sentiment and was done.  Pretty simple, but I really like how it turned out.

I hope you'll head over to the CCC blog to see what everyone has created for you today.  As usual, they're all pretty fantastic.

Hugs!
