Greetings ya'll!
So another week has gone by, and we're at the end of October already. Is it just me, or has this year gone by faster than last year?! Good Lord, what the heck? No wonder I feel like I'm rushing around all the time. Time keeps moving faster and faster, and I'm left with tons of stuff left to do. lol Anyway, you're not here to read about me complaining. Onto this weeks Christmas Card challenge, which is: Liquid Applique.
For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I struggled a bit when trying to come up with a card for this week. Ultimately, it turned out quite cute, but there isn't much liquid applique on my card. I simply used it to create the marshmallows in my hot chocolate. I thought the idea was pretty good, but not sure I'm digging the fact that I feel like I dropped the ball with this weeks challenge. Bleh. I guess it's not the end of the world. lol I've also combined the following challenges in my card:
Inspirational Card Sketch #137 - Sketch
Play Date Cafe (PDCC#105) - Kraft/Taupe, Flesh, Cadet Blue
Alphabet Challenge Blog - T for Tea Time (I have a teacup on my project)
Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Food & Candy (I have a drink, hope that's ok)
Lily Pad Blog - Texture Challenge (I've got lace, twine, and the paper is both embossed a bit and has glitter, and the liquid applique, hope that fits)
Sew Many Cards #72 - 2 different background papers
Winter Wonderland - CAS
I do hope you'll head over to the CCC blog to see what my friends have created for you today. They're all just adorable!
Have a great day!
Hugs!

Peace Love Joy
Hi!
I got some time to play with a couple of challenges on Sunday afternoon and am happy to create something just for fun. Here is what I came up with.
Sorry that the photo is a bit brighter than normal. My usual spot was already in the shade by the time I got home last night. I will have to make sure to remember that as the year moves on. I combined the following challenges in my card:
The Ribbon Girl Color Challenge #12 - Lilacs & Greens
One Stitch At A Time #85 - Emboss It (the white panel under the round sentiment is embossed, but I used the debossed side, inked up in lavender and green)
Card Positioning Systems #241 - Sketch
Pile It On #43 - Be Happy
That's all for me today. I'll be back soon with another crafty post soon.
Hugs!

Drunken Stampers Challenge #77
Hola!
So, I'm behind once again. In my craziness last week, I totally forgot to create a project for this weeks Drunken Stampers challenge, which went live on Saturday. I guess the month of October is just going to be my "off" month. lol I hope to get it together by the time November arrives. Anyway, this weeks challenge is pretty cool. The challenge is books. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I got this stamp at Hobby Lobby recently and fell in love with it. Don't be surprised if you see it again, frequently. lol My card came together rather quickly, once I had decided on the colors and layout. I'm really digging the lace with the chocolate ribbon up top. It's very pretty. I've combined the following challenges into my card:
Lily Pad Blog - Sketch
Stampin Sisters In Christ #112 - Theme of Time (I used the Clockworks embossing folder on the top blue strip)
Corrosive Challenge #135 - Flying Things (of course, I have butterflies on my card)
I do hope you'll head over to the Drunken Stampers blog to see everyone's creations and maybe play along. We had some wonderful participation last challenge, and look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge.
Have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #47
Hi ya'll!
It's Sunday, which brings another Christmas Card Challenge! This weeks challenge is a recipe challenge. We were to use two designer papers, ribbon and a bird of some sort. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
So, I'm missing the bird. Somewhere among all of the layers, it got covered up. You'll just have to take my word for it that it's there. lol I really love this card. It's beautiful and those papers are gorgeous. I think it's one of my favorite Christmas cards yet. I do hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I do.
The cards that the designers have created for you today at the CCC blog are beautiful. I do hope you'll head over there to see them. And don't forget that we're still having a DT call as well. You can find the details HERE.
Have a wonderful day!

FYI Challenge #16
Hello everyone!
It seems as if I just can't get it together this week. I was late with my CCC post on Sunday and now I'm late with my FYI post today. I guess that's how life goes sometimes. lol
Here is this weeks inspiration photo. I love how the colors they added make the forest look magical and almost fairy tale like. Such bright colors always make me happy. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
Here is the card I created using the photo.
Sorry for the darker than normal photo. I was in a rush to get a picture this morning, and this was the best I got. lol I really like how my card turned out though. I'm going to add it to the pile of cards I will be taking to my office on Monday. It's time to sell some of them and make room for more. I do hope you'll head over to the FYI blog to see what my Lovely Lotuses have created for you today. They're fabulous, as usual.
I'm off to Austin for an extended weekend with my sister and brother in law. I wish everyone a great day!

I'm A Guest Today!
Hi everyone!
I'm really excited about today's posting. About a week ago Rochelle from Triplicate Trials Tuesdays contacted me, and asked me to be a guest designer for their next challenge. I was totally thrilled and honored to be asked to guest for them, and it just so happens that today is the day. Here is the promtpt for Challenge #11.
Talk about super fab, right?! The idea is to combine all three elements in your project. I think this is a super cool idea as I'm always trying to combine challenge elements into my cards anyway. Here is the card I made for this challenge.
Fortunately for me, I just got these new papers and they were perfect. I love the small chevron stripes and the elegant damask looking print together. Top that off with some rolled roses, and I was good to go.
So, seems fun, right? You can check out what the other designers have created for this challenge HERE. They're really fun! Hopefully, you'll get to play along as well. That would be awesome!
Have a great day!
Hugs!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #45
Hi everyone!
It's time for another Christmas Card challenge! This week the challenge is an inspiration photo. It's lovely, and I love the crispness (is that even a word?!) of the decor. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I tried to mimic what I saw, to include most of the details. I really like how it turned out. It's going to be a short post for me today. I'm headed out for the day, in search of some fun, happy things. *wink*
I do hope you'll head over to check out the rest of the gals projects. Maybe you'll get to play along with us this week? Christmas is getting closer everyday!
Hugs!

Drunken Stampers Challenge #76
Hi everyone!
I'm SO excited to bring you my first project as a Drunken Stamper! We have a fitting theme for our challenge this week, which is Halloween. This is my first Halloween card of the year. I didn't really think I needed to make any, so I haven't really been too concerned about it. I'm thinking I probably should make at least two or three to take to work now though. Anyway, for this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I really like the colors in this Halloween card. I'm all about non-traditional, so any chance to steer away from that, I'll take it! These papers are fabulous and I like how my card came together. The embossed pumpkins at the bottom add just the right "something" to this, for me anyway. I do hope you'll head over to the Drunken Stampers blog to see all of our first projects. They're pretty cool, I must say. I've combined the following challenges as well:
Paper Sundaes #89 - Lots of Layers
Bloggers Challenge #232 - Sketch
The Pink Elephant #119 - Trick or Treat
Papertake Weekly 10/4 - Anything Goes
SCRS Challenge #63 - Light Blue, Orange & Black (I'm happy, I finally got to participate in one of their challenges!)
Alright. I'm off to chat with a special someone (whom i've been keeping secret) while he's off on a work contract in South Africa. I'm hoping I'll be able to persuade him into taking some photos for me so that I can scrapbook them when he returns.
Have a wonderful day!

FYI Challenge #15
Greetings everyone!
I'm so excited! We have another amazing inspiration photo this challenge, and another fabulous sponsor. This challenges sponsor is none other than the adorable and hilarious Bugaboo Stamps.
You really should head over to check out their online store. They have so much to choose from, and some absolutely wonderful stamps. You can visit them HERE. They were kind enough to provide each of us with some images to use this challenge, and they are offering 7 free digis to one lucky participant. Talk about generous!
So, here is this weeks inspiration photo. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I love this photo for several reasons. First, the colors are very eye catching, all of them. You're not just drawn to one color, but all of them equally in my opinion. Next, the textures are gorgeous against those colors. Lastly, it's a cathedral. I love old cathedrals. They're always so beautiful and rustic. I would love to attend services in a place that looked like this. Wouldn't you? :)
And now, I give you, my card.
I used a Wee One image from Bugaboo stamps and am quite happy with how my card turned out. I did struggle a bit, trying to figure out how to incorporate such a cute stamp with a photo that's very elegant looking. I woke up on Sunday morning and had an idea, so I went with it. lol Once I started gathering what I wanted to include in my card, things just sort of fell into place. I wound up using last months SFYTT as it fit what I was looking for, design wise. I know exactly who will be receiving this card.
The projects my Lovely Lotuses have created for you today are so stinkin adorable! You should head over and check them out. I think you'll enjoy them as much as I do. They are all so inspiring!
Have a great day!
