Hiya!
This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to see my second jingle belles challenge card.
It's time for another CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This week we're CASE-ing Pat's card. I love the penguin. Too cute!
And here is what I created.
I focused on the layout again, for this card. You know how I love my non-traditional Christmas colors, so I went for it again. This ribbon from Pretty Pink Posh is gorgeous! I love how it ties as well. Simple, and quick, and another card for my stash. I'm a happy girl. :)
I can't wait for you to see what the other designers have created for you today. They're all pretty great. Hopefully, you'll get the chance to go check them out, and maybe play along. I'm off to work, and then we're headed to Kansas City for the weekend. I can't wait to see Maroon 5. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Mission EMBOSS-ible, Take 2!
Happy Friday!
I'm excited that today is Friday, and I get to sleep in tomorrow and Sunday, sort of. This afternoon, my daughter, her BFF and I are headed to Kansas City for the Maroon 5 concert tomorrow. I cannot wait to see Mr. Adam Levine, up close and personal. Anyway, onto my card for today.
It's the second week of the embossing challenge over at the jingle belles blog. Here is what I made.
I wanted to keep this card simple as well, again, focusing on the embossing. I included both wet and dry for this card too. The Nativity Border die from Taylored Expressions was perfect for this card, and it really looks lovely set against the dark blue background. I wanted to add a bit of "something" to my card, but wasn't sure what. Then I decided to stamp the smallest star from the Verve Star of Wonder set, and then cut it out. For some added "pop", I added some gold Wink of Stella, and called it done. Simple and elegant. I think I will make a few more of these, in different colors, and send them to the people in my bible study group. I know they'd love them.
Again, Stephanie and Lauren have created two gorgeous cards for this week. You should head over to the blog to see what them. They're nothing short of amazing.
Have a wonderful day!

Masculine Birthday
Hola!
This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for my first jingle belles guest designer card. :)
This is the last of the cards I made last weekend, and hope I made it in time, for a few challenges I saw. I tried to push myself to create another masculine card, since I don't do well with them. lol
Here is my card.
I inked my embossing folder, and love how the Blueprint embossing folder looks a bit distressed on my paper. I embossed the star with some silver embossing powder to give it a bit of pop, and added my sentiment. This is one of my favorite stamp sets. Paper Smooches has the cutest fonts and images. I'm going to send this to R's son, for his birthday. I hope he likes it. I am going to submit this for the following challenges.

Mission EMBOSS-ible!
Hello my friends!
I'm so excited to have you stop by today! I have a card to share with you, as a guest, over on the jingle belles blog. Lauren and Stephanie make amazing holiday cards each week, so I was thrilled to be joining them for the next two weeks. I'm sure you know by now, how much I enjoy making holiday cards as well, so this was a win/win for me. This challenge is one of my favorites too, embossing. Here is the card I made.
I wanted to keep things simple, so that the focus would be on the embossing. I included both wet and dry embossing on my card, as I love both. I wanted a pink poinsettia, and think it turned out pretty well. I used the colors from Color Throwdown #331, as they really struck me as being beautiful, and played into my love of non-traditional Christmas cards. I added some leaves, and a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins, and was done. I like the simplicity of this card, with the embossing and the sentiment as the main focus. I'm going to submit this card for the following challenges.

Thanks...You're Amazing
Greetings friends!
I hope you're having a great day. I am really enjoying the awesome weather we're having, and plan on going for a bike ride with my daughter after work today. It's so nice to be able to get back outside and "play". I hope everyone is having nice weather in their area as well. I hope it lasts for a while.
Anyway, here is the next card I have to share with you.
I LOVE the bright, cheerful colors here. The yellow with the polka dots paper from my March SSS Card Kit is fabulous! I really like the colors this month. I decided to make this into a shaker card, so I could use some of my new Pretty Pink Posh seed beads. They are also pretty fabulous. I know exactly who I will be sending this to, and hope she enjoys it. I'm going to submit this for the following challenges.
Sparkle & Shine Challenge #1: Photo Inspiration
Retro Sketches #156: Sketch (my loose interpretation)
Pile It On #59: Green
I'm off to work, and am hoping to be done early, so I can leave a bit early. I'll be back soon with another something crafty.
Hugs!

Love You
Hiya peeps!
How are you doing? Are you having a good week, so far? It's been gorgeous out, so we've been spending lots of time outside. Unfortunately, this has caused a delay in getting my cards posted. lol There were several challenges I wanted to participate in, and I made several cards on Sunday, but am just now getting around to posting the first. I hope I'm still on time for them. :-)
Here is the first.
I love the simplicity of this card. The clean lines, and the small pop of glitter look lovely together. I will be sending this to R, at some point this week. He says he loves getting random cards in the mail from me, and that he keeps them all. How sweet! I will definitely continue to send him cards. I am going to submit this for this weeks Paper Players challenge (#235), which is a color combo of Crisp Cantaloupe, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake and So Saffron.
That's all for me. I'm headed to join my bible study group for an evening of fellowship and worship. I wish you all a great evening!
Hugs!

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #10
Greetings!
How's your week been? It's been pretty crazy for me, work wise, but everything else seems to be going pretty well. I'm hoping to spend some time in my crafty room again this weekend. It's supposed to be in the 30's all weekend, which is like a heat wave for us, so I may decide to go play outside instead. lol
Anyway, onto this weeks new CASE-ing Christmas challenge. This week we are CASEing another one of Mynn's cards. I love the simplicity of it, and her use of washi tape.
Here is my interpretation.
I went with the same basic layout, and changed it up slightly. I love the CAS look of this, and the washi tape heart turned out better than I thought it would. I think I'm going to create another of these, but only use the red and white candy stripe washi tape. I think I'm in love with it. I'm going to enter my card for the following challenges.
Merry Monday #148: Use Red & Green
One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #5: Anything Goes (hoping this is close enough to one layer)
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see the other wonderful cards that are posted. I'll be back soon with another something crafty.
Hugs!
