Hola!!
I hope today finds you in good health, and good spirits.
It's Sunday, which brings us to another Christmas Card challenge. This weeks challenge is to use Punches. For all of the details, click HERE.
The idea in my head would have produced a card that looked like a gift wrapped Christmas present. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the idea work to my liking. I wanted to keep the big, bold bow though, so this is what I did with it instead. I've had this gorgeous ribbon in my stash for over a year, and have never used it. It took me a while to get the bow somewhat decent, but I'm happy with it. I like the teal and rust with the cream color combo. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it's pretty cool. It's very different for me. I'm going to enter this into the following challenges as well.
Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #122 - Christmas with a sentiment.
Christmas Stamping All Year Long #8 - Anything Goes
Jingle Belles - Celebrate Earth Day (Recycle - use your scraps. The patterned paper and cream punched piece were both scraps on my desk)
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Embellishment Challenge #4: Buttons or Bows
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge #70 - Sentiment without the word Christmas.
The cards posted at the CCC blog today are fabulous, as usual. I do hope you'll head over and check them out, and maybe, just maybe get started on your Christmas cards for this year. You think?
Have a great day!
Hugs!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #156
Hi ya'll!
How's your weekend going? I'm SO glad today is Saturday. It's been a rough week, and I don't think I could have taken another day of end of month chaos. Bleh! I am excited though, I've got church this evening, and then I am having dinner with friends.
It's been a while since I've had anything to post on a Saturday. I spoke with some old friends, and fortunately for me, they've been keeping my spot warm at Unscripted Sketches. I'm excited to be back on the US design team, and can't wait to share the fabulous sketches with you again each week. For all of the details on this weeks sketch challenge, click HERE. This is what I came up with.
I wanted to challenge myself to keep things CAS again. Every once in a while I feel like I'm trying to add so much "stuff" to my cards, that I need to scale things down a bit. I was quite stumped at how to create my card for today. When I first saw the sketch for this week, I was unsure as to how I would get my idea onto paper. I'm glad that I had some new Nesties sitting on my desk to help me out. I've never created a banner on any of my projects before, but have always wanted to try. I love how it turned out. These are some of my favorite colors together. The yellow and blue is so appealing to me. I hope that whomever receives this card loves it as much as I do. :)
There are some fabulous new designers at US, and they've created some fantastic projects for you today. I do hope you'll head over and check them out. Maybe you'll get the chance to play along with us too.
Back soon with another something crafty!

Creative Belli Challenge #142
Good day to all!
I'm back today with the next challenge over at the Creative Belli blog. The challenge is to incorporate animals in your projects. For all of the details, click HERE.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do for this challenge. I don't really own much stuff with animals on it. Fortunately, I found this older stamp set that I forgot I had. Guess it's a good thing that I'm supposed to use old, forgotten stuff. lol I didn't color in the monkey's cause I'm not good at coloring. I kinda like the way they look, uncolored. I used THIS sketch, and dig the way it turned out.
I do hope you'll head over to the challenge blog to see what my fellow designers have created today. I think you'll enjoy them, like I did.

Use It Tuesdays Challenge #30
Greetings!!
I have another UIT challenge for you. This challenge is: April showers bring May flowers. For all of the details, click HERE.
I've had the embossed cardstock from Core'dinations in my stash for at least two years now. All of the patterned paper has been in my possession for at least a year, and the stamps are over six months old. It's nice to use up more of my stash that's been slightly hoarded. I created this card with the idea that I wanted a different shape, that I hadn't ever used before. I like how it turned out. I've combined the following challenges in my card today.
Sweet Sunday Sketch #157 - Sketch
Card Caravan #17 - Spring
Stampin Sisters In Christ #136 - Soft Pastels
The other lovely designers have created some fabulous projects today. Hopefully, you'll get to check them out and maybe play along with us this time. :)

2012 Christmas Card Challenge Week #21
Hey ya'll!
I had this post scheduled to go live, on time, but now that I'm home, I realize that the post didn't work. Are any of you guys having Blogger issues like this too? I'm curious if it has anything to do with the new look. Anyway, I guess it will all work out once they fix all the bugs.
I have a new Christmas card to share with you today. The challenge for this week is a Recipe challenge. For all of the details, click HERE.
Here is the card I made, using the above recipe. I apologize for the washed out look. Not sure what happened there.
I love these Webster's Pages papers. They're so pretty together, and I love the vintage feel to them. I don't do vintage often, or hardly at all actually. I think this card looks really nice with all of the elements put together. Another card down for this year. I've combined the following challenges in my card.
Crazy 4 Challenges #133 - Add black.
Mark's Finest Papers #104 - Stitching
52 Christmas Card Throwdown #4 - Snowflakes
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #69 - Lots of Layers
I hope you'll head over to the CCC blog to see what the other designers have created for you today. They're lovely, as usual.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #20
Hiya!
I apologize for the delay in posting this. It's been a busy weekend. I don't even remember the last time I've had more than one thing to do on a weekend. Fortunately for me, it has been such a great time. I went to lunch and to see The Hunger Games with a co-worker yesterday, then I met up with some old friends after church for dinner, and then today I'm having brunch with a couple of other friends. Whew, talk about being a social butterfly! lol
Anyway, enough about that. Here is my card for today's CCC. For all of the details on this weeks challenge, click HERE. Also, we're holding our next DT call!
I've had this image and the papers for a while now. I wasn't sure how well it would work out, but I like everything, now that it's put together. I used some liquid applique on their hats, and then some stickles on the snow under their feet. Its much better in real life, but you get the idea. Also, I'm still working on sewing in straight lines. For now, I'm content with my progress. hahaha
The cards my friends have created for you today are pretty cute. I do hope you'll head over and check them out.

Creative Belli Challenge #141
Hello everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today. I have another Creative Belli challenge project to share with you. This challenge is to create a project with a childrens theme. For all of the details, click HERE.
My card is pretty simple today. I used THIS sketch, because of the simplicity of it. I wanted to go with a little boy theme, and I wanted to ink up some stamps that I've had in my stash for a while, but had never been used. The patterned papers are also some that I've had for over a year. I embossed the blue dotted patterned paper for a bit of extra interest, and love how it turned out. I'm thinking that I should have sanded it a bit, but oh well. Maybe next time. I think this image, and sentiment are too cute, and I hope the lil guy who gets this will enjoy it. I'm going to include a Toys R Us gift card, so I'm thinking he just might. lol
I do hope you'll head over to the Belli challenge blog to see what my friends have come up with today. They're absolutely adorable!

FYI Challenge #27
Hey ya'll!
How's your week been? Aside from some crazy weather here earlier in the week, mine has been pretty cool. I'm waiting for some exciting news today. Hopefully, I'll get to share that with ya'll soon. :)
It's the first Thursday of the month, which means I have another FYI challenge for you. For all of the details, click HERE. Here is the inspiration photo.
Wouldn't it be cool to be watching the storm roll in from atop that lighthouse?? Oh how I'd love to be there right now. Such a cool photo. Here is the card I made based on the photo.
It seems like I am grabbing my Distress Inks more and more nowadays. They always have such a cool look to them. They may be one of my favorite things right now. I wanted a different shaped card, for added interest, this time. I love how the yellow pops against the blue. Two of my favorite colors together. This card was pretty simple, and I love the sentiment. It all came together quite nicely.
I do hope you'll head over to see what my Lovely Lotuses have put together for you today. They're pretty wonderful, as usual. :)

2012 Christmas Card Challenge Week #18
Hello everyone,
I appreciate all of the cards, and kind thoughts. Even though everyday is difficult, I have decided that I need to do something that makes me happy, rather than sit and stare at the TV. I know time will heal, but hopefully being distracted by crafting will help.
I have a new Christmas card for you today. The challenge this week is a sketch, created by our dear Peggy. For all of the details, click HERE.
Here is the card I created, based on the sketch.
You know how I am about non-traditional Christmas colors, and this card is no exception. I got the color combo from the photo below.
I love how it turned out. It's a bit smaller than a normal A2 card, but I think I'm going to use it as a card for a gift come Christmas time. I've combined the following challenges as well.
Stampin For The Weekend #6 - Anything Goes
Alphabet Challenge Blog - D for Dry Embossing
Mark's Finest Papers #101 - Square Card
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Anything Goes
I hope you'll head over to see what our lovely design team, and new guest designer, have created for you today. They're all pretty fabulous, as usual.
Stay crafty my friends!
