Hola!
I hope you had a decent week, and your weekend has begun on a good note. It's Saturday, and I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you. For all of the details, click HERE.
I'm attempting to keep things CAS for a bit. Usually, I want to add layers and embellishments, but I'm kinda digging the CAS look for now. The kites were paper pieced, and I popped one of them up, to add a bit of interest. I hope the recipient of this card enjoys it as much as I do.
I do hope you have time to stop by the US blog to see the other projects posted, using this weeks sketch. It's super simple, and leaves a lot of room for some great interpretation.
That's it for me today. I'm off to get ready for a bbq/pool party with my Logistics team. I'm excited that we all get to hang out and have a great time together, outside of our office. We've been planning something like this for a couple years now. So glad we finally made it happen.
Have a great day!
Hugs!

Use It Tuesday Challenge #34
Hello hello!
How are ya'll doing? I hope you've had a good start to your week. Mine has been chaotic, as usual for the end of the month, but I'm not letting it get to me this time.
Anyway, onto my crafty post. It's time for another Use It Tuesday challenge. This challenge is to create something patriotic. For all of the details, click HERE.
I don't personally know anyone in the military anymore, but I have friends who have family that are. I figured creating a patriotic thank you card would do well for someone to send to their loved one or friend. I used THIS sketch, and like how everything came together. My hoarded/neglected stash are the ribbon, blue metallic paper and the polka dot patterned paper.
I'm sad to say that this card is my last as a member of the UIT design team. It's amazing how quickly six months has gone by. The UIT gals are so wonderfuly sweet, and I'm blessed to have gotten the opportunity to work with everyone.
I do hope you'll head over to see what everyone has created for you today. Maybe you'll get to play along with us and use up some of your neglected stuff. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Unscripted Sketches #164
Hi ya'll!
I'm so glad Saturday has arrived. It has been a brutal end of month week and I just want to hide from everyone. lol I am happy that I get to share another Unscripted Sketches project with you though. For this weeks sketch, and all of the details, click HERE.
I needed a tag for a gift, so I used this weeks sketch as a jumping off point. I flipped the sketch to suit my needs, and everything came together rather quickly. These colors are really pretty together, although I wouldn't normally reach for either of them on my own. These are my sisters favorite colors, so I thought I'd use them. I love how this turned out! I've also included the following challenges in my tag.
Papertake Weekly - Bingo: ribbon, gems & punches
Delightful Challenges - Anything Goes
I do hope you'll head over to the US blog to see everyone else's projects. They're fabulous, as usual!

Creative Belli Challenge #146
Hello!
It's Wednesday, which brings us to another Creative Belli challenge! The Creative Belli challenge, in case you're new to it, is a challenge blog set up to encourage you to use your neglected or hoarded embellishments. Each week there is a theme as well. This weeks challenge is to create anything but a card. For all of the details, click HERE.
For my project this week, I altered a wooden gift bag. I have a friend who recently had surgery, so I'm going to fill it with a few of her favorite goodies, and give it to her when I visit her. My neglected stash include the Prima flower, the metal clip, and all of the patterned papers. I hope she likes it!
I'm sad to say that this project marks the end of my term as a Belli Girl. I have enjoyed being a part of the DT for the last six months, and will do my best to participate, as time allows. Darsie is a wonderful leader, and everyone on the team are just total sweethearts. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to be on a team with such wonderful, talented women.
I'm hoping you'll head over to see what the other Belli Girls have created for you today. Their projects are very nice this week.
Hugs!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #163
Hi everyone!
Can you believe that it's the 16th of June already? It seems like just yesterday I was talking about how I couldn't believe it was June already, and now we're half through the month. Ugh! I guess I should stop complaining. It's just going to get worse as I get older, I'm told. lol This will be a short post, as I'm headed out with my friends for the weekend. :)
I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you today. Today's sketch challenge has a piggyback challenge, to use vellum. For all of the details, click HERE.
I flipped this weeks sketch, and went for a CAS design, again. I embossed my sentiment on vellum, and then popped that panel up to create a "frosted window" type look. It looks much better in real life. I love these colors together, and like how it all came together.
I hope you'll head over to the US blog to see the projects posted today. They're all wonderful!
Have a good day!

2012 Christmas Card Challenge Week #28
Hi ya'll!
I have another Christmas card for you today. This weeks challenge is to incorporate woodgrain in your Christmas card. For all of the details, click HERE.
Here is the card I created.
I didn't want to go with your traditional brown looking woodgrain, so I decided to do a light aqua instead. These colors together are very appealing to me, love them. I used the June SFYTT, and dig how it turned out. I'm happy to have another card for my stash.
I do hope you'll head over to see wha the DT have created for you today at the CCC blog. Pretty cool, with the use of woodgrain.
That's all for me as I'm headed out for the day with some friends. Hope you have a good week!
Hugs!

Unscripted Sketches #162
Hiya!
I'm SO glad today is Saturday! I got to sleep in, and I get to sleep in again tomorrow. Yay! I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you today. The sketch this week is fabulous. For all of the details, click HERE.
This card is a bit busier than normal for me. I like it, but don't know if I love it yet. It will probably grow on me though. lol It's my first time participating in the Runway Inspired challenges, but dig my first attempt. I might have to try again though as I love the bright colors.
I do hope you'll head over to the Unscripted Sketches blog to see the fabulous projects that are posted today. They're pretty great!

FYI Challenge #31
Hello!
I hope everyone is doing well! It's the first Thursday of the month, which brings us our next For Your Inspiration challenge. For all of the details, click HERE.
This photo is one of my favorites. I love the color blue. Paired with this evening photo of the Coliseum, it's absolutely wonderful! I love the architecture and the contrast of the bold colors, all together. I'm wishing I were there to see it for myself.
I love how my card turned out. This color combo is one of my favorites. I used the Love Conquers silhouette digi from Bugaboo Stamps, colored with my distress inks and with a couple of pearls added. I used some polka dot patterned paper, a doily and a bow and called it done. I used THIS sketch, flipped on its side.
Don't forget to stop over and see what my Lovely Lotuses have created for you today. We're sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and there are some digis up for grabs too.
Hugs!

Creative Belli Challenge #145
Happy Humpday!
I am so glad today is Wednesday! It means I only have to get up early two more days this week. The weather here in the DFW area has been hot, so I think I'm going to plan a pool party/BBQ for some friends and I. Should be fantasic! :)
Since it is Wednesday, I have another Creative Belli challenge project for you. The challenge is to use a sentiment only. For all of the details, click HERE.
Now, before you say anything, let me explain. lol As you know, I'm a HUGE fan of non-traditional Christmas colors. When I was trying to come up with a card for today, I was totally stumped. I asked a friend to help me out, by picking a couple of colors, so that I could try to challenge myself. He chose yellow, black and green, which are the colors of his company's logo. At first, I didn't really like how it turned out, but he did, and asked if I could make 50 Christmas cards identical to this one for them to distribute this holiday. I declined, as I'm not one for mass producing anything, but I dig that he thought it turned out well. As I look at it, I'm thinking it has a "Tim Burtonesque" look to it, if that makes sense. lol At the end of the day, I'm content with being able to pull off these very difficult colors and make one more card for my stash. The flowers and ribbon, as well as the patterned papers, are my hoarded/neglected items for this challenge. I'm pretty sure we all know who will be getting this card for Christmas. I've combined the following challenges in my card as well.
JUGS #139 - Sketch
Stampalot Challenge (June) - Bingo: I chose ribbon/lace, polka dots & the color green
Christmas Card Challenge Week #27 - Sentiment Only
I do hope you'll head over to the Creative Belli blog to see the wonderful projects that everyone has provided for you today.
Hugs!

Unscripted Sketches #161
Hi ya'll!
I can't believe Saturday is here already. Not only that, it's JUNE!! Goodness time is sure going by quicker than I'd like. What are ya'll up to this weekend? Got lots of crafty stuff planned? I hope you're able to get your craft on, at least a little bit.
Since it is Saturday, I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you. The sketch was a bit tough for me this week, but I think I did it justice, somewhat. For all of the details, click HERE.
I was actually able to get my idea onto my card. I was hoping it would be simple when I was done with it, and I think I accomplished that. I got my colors from Design Seeds, below, and actually quite like how everything turned out.
I've combined the following challenges in my card.
Scrappy Frogs - Tags
Catered Crop - Felt (The dark purple flower under the white paper flower is made of felt)
Use Your Stuff #36 - Texture (I hope my felt and paper flowers are enough)
House of Gilli - Die Cuts/Punches
I do hope you'll head over and check out what my friends at US have put together for you. They're pretty fantastic. :)
Hugs!
Steph
