Hi ya'll!
How is everyone today? Are you having a good weekend? I certainly am trying. I have to work today, so I'm not enjoying the six day work week too much. lol
It's Sunday, which brings us to another Christmas Card Challenge. This week we have a wonderful sketch made for us by the lovely Peggy Toole. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I really liked this weeks sketch, and think I'll probably use it a few more times. I'm going to enter this into this weeks OCCC, which is a color challenge of red and aqua, and this weeks challenge over at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge (#66), which is anything but ribbon. I used twine.
I hope you'll head over to the CCC blog to see what everyone has created for you today. We're getting closer and closer to Christmas. Have you started your Christmas cards yet??
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

Recycling
Hi ya'll!
It's another HOT day here in the Dallas area and I've done nothing but stay inside and do as little as possible. I had a migraine this morning, and even though I don't get a massive headache like most, I do lose vision in my left eye, preventing me from driving. Fortunately, my eyesight has returned, and I was able to do one crafty thing today. Check it out.
I found this piece of honeycomb looking cardboard in the recyling at work, and ideas immediately began to swim around in my head. I wanted to do something with it so that I could show people at work what I had used it for, and this was my result. I'm going to set it on one of the shelves in my office at work. It's interesting how something that was considered trash has become one of my favorite scrap projects now. I'm off to take a nap and then cook some dinner.
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #34
Hi ya'll!
I hope you're having a good weekend. Mine has flown by, and I haven't really accomplished much. lol It's all good though. I got to spend some time with someone special, which made my weekend. :)
Sunday brings us another CCC!! This week the challenge is Plaid. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
Most of you know that I don't normally go for the traditional red and green Christmas color combo, but I'm kinda diggin it, due to the plaid paper I had in my stash. I used this weeks Sweet Stop sketch (#118) and like how it turned out.
I do hope you'll head over to the CCC blog to see what the other designers have created for you today. I'm pretty sure you know by now that they're all fantastic. :)
That's all for me today as I am headed to clean the pool, and get ready for a bbq. Hope you have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #33
Hi ya'll!
Have you had a good week? Mine was super busy, as usual, and I wasn't able to create anything new. I guess I'll have to see what works out this week.
I'm excited to bring you this weeks Christmas card. We have a fabulous sponsor, Paper Makeup Stamps. If you've never had the opportunity to check them out, I would highly recommend you do so. They were generous enough to offer each of our design team members some beautiful images to play with this week. And, they're offering a $15 gift certificate to one lucky participant this week. Sweet!
This weeks challenge is Faith. Keep in mind that the challenge is always optional. Any Christmas/winter/holiday card will do. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I chose to use Madelyn the Praying Fairy for my card this week. It definitely fits the challenge, and she's beautiful. I printed her out tthree times and colored her with my copics. I then cut out one as a mask so that I could stamp the script behind her. The third image was used so that I could cut out her wing and add some dimension. I'm really loving everything about this card, and I've got one more to add to my stash for this year. Yay!
I do hope you'll head over to see what gorgeous cards my friends have created for you today. They're all pretty fantastic, as usual.
I can't wait to see what you'll come up with!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #32
Hi everyone!
I hope your week went by as quickly as mine did, and that you've enjoyed a nice weekend. Unfortunately, I had to work this weekend, which left little time for fun. Boo! It's ok though, I'll make up for it next weekend. :)
Sunday brings us another Christmas Card Challenge. This weeks challenge is paper piecing. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I seldom paper piece anything. I found out just how bad I am at it this week too. Not sure why I had such a difficult time, but this is attempt number 3. lol I paper pieced his pants, sweater, hat and scarf. I'm happy with the results, it just took longer to finish. This image is too cute though. I should use him more often, and I love the touch of liquid applique for the hat. This card is slightly smaller than an A2 as well. I think I'm going to use it as a gift card, maybe. I've also come across some new, to me, challenges I've combined in this card.
Eat, Sleep, Stamp #138 - Sketch
Jingle Belles - Holiday Leftovers (use scraps - my card is almost entirely scraps)
Moving Along With The Times #106 - Christmas in July
Stampin With The Dragon - Christmas In July
Paper Sundaes #77 - Paper Piecing (and they just happened to be sponsored by Heather Ellis today too!)
So, how many Christmas/holiday cards do you have made this year? There are only 4 months until the holidays again. Why not get a head start on your Christmas cards? The designers have created some amazing cards for you this week. I do hope you'll check them out.
Have a great day!

Thank You
Hola!!
I hope you've had a good week! I was planning on posting more this week, but work got busy, and time got away from me, and here it is Friday already. This will be a short post, but I wanted to get it posted before it was too late. Here is what I created.
Surprised it's not a Christmas card? lol I needed a thank you card, and this weeks Unscripted Sketch (#113) is fantastic!! Again, I'm loving my Distress Inks more and more. Look at how gorgeous they are!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back soon with another card, hopefully.
Hugs!

Peace on Earth
Howdy ya'll!
Yep, you guessed it! Another Christmas card. lol I was off yesterday, so I put together a few cards that I'll share with you this week. To tell you the truth, submerging myself into making all of these cards has helped me keep my mind off of the trajic Ben situation. It's still very painful. Anyway, here is the next one.
I'm having a difficult time at my new place, finding a spot to take my photos outside. I think I'll just have to make due with what I can find, for now. Maybe I should check into a light box. Now there's an idea. lol Anyway, I've combined the below challenges into this card. Loving this one too! :)

Noel
Happy Fourth of July ya'll!!
A huge thank you to all of those who serve, and their families. I am grateful for the sacrifices you make. How has your holiday weekend been? Have you celebrated? I was bummed that I wasn't able to make it to any of the fireworks on Saturday or Sunday, but I'm hoping to make it to the fireworks tonight. Guess we'll see how that goes. lol
I have another Christmas card for you today. This card was inspired by my sister, who chose the colors. Here is what I came up with.
Totally non-traditional. Totally loving it! I have to say, everytime I break out the distress inks, I fall more and more in love with them. I'm going to have to figure out how to create a spot on my desk for them so that I can use them more often. I think the background stamp is one of my new faves from Hero Arts too. I absolutely love this! I've combined the following challenges into this card.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #31 - Die Cuts, Punches, Cut Outs

Christmas Card Challenge Week #31
Hi everyone!
Are you enjoying your holiday weekend? My sister and brother in law are visiting for the weekend, and we've had a blast! We have been total bums, bbq'd, sipped margaritas by the pool, and have have visited the shaved ice stand frequently. Ahh, total bliss! lol
Enough about that though. I have another Christmas Card Challenge project for you. This week the challenge is: T'was the Night Before Christmas. For this weeks challenge, click HERE.
When I thought about the challenge this week, my mind went towards vintage. It might not be your normal vintage, distressed type card, but I do like it none the less. I owe this design to the amazing Jill Foster. She's fabulous and I kinda cased THIS card. I love how it turned out.
This week is the start of our new Design Team at the CCC. I hope you'll head over and check out the wonderful cards that are posted. They're all pretty fantastic, as usual.
Stay safe! Hugs!
