Good day!
Today is my friend Thanh's birthday, and to celebrate we're doing a pseudo blog hop for her.
A few weeks ago I was chatting with a couple of my crafty friends, Sparkle, Spike, Peggy and Suzanne, and someone decided that we were going to create "special" birthday cards for our Thanh. She's got a great sense of humor, and we wanted to surprise her. Sparkle found the stamp we were going to use, and sent us each a couple stamped images for our cards. Since this stamp is definitely PG 13, we decided to post our cards in an album, instead of on our blogs. Should you like to see them, you can click HERE. Please help us in wishing Thanh a Happy Birthday! You can visit her blog HERE, and you can leave her some birthday wishes HERE.
I do hope you have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

Papercraft Star Challenge #110
Hello everyone!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It's Wednesday, which means there's a new Papercraft Star challenge posted. The challenge this week is Back to School. With everyone getting ready for that across the US, it's a perfect challenge for this week. For all of the details, click HERE.
I love this little MFT girl with her apple. She's adorable! I colored her with my Copics, and then used my Nesties to cut her out. I had these adorable October Afternoon papers in my stash, and found them to be perfect for this weeks challenge. All in all, I think my card turned out well, and I've got another card for my stash. I've also combined the following challenges in my card. Popular theme this week!
My Sheri Crafts Challenge #92 - Back to School
Craft Your Days Away #52 - Anything Goes
Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #175 - Back to the Books
Stampin Sisters In Christ #154 - Punches or Dies
Creative Inspirations Paint - Back to School
Lollipop Crafts Challenge #88 - Back to School
My Grafico Challenge #135 - Back to School
Paper Pretties Monday Challenge #54 - Back to School
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #130 - Back to School
I do hope you'll head over to see the fabulous projects posted by my fellow designers. Ros is our featured member this week, and she's used some gorgeous digi's from our weekly sponsor, THATB. Maybe you'll even get to play along with us this week?
That's all for me. I'm off to work, then I need to finish packing.
Have a wonderful day!

A Fun Challenge
Hey y'all!
How's it going? Did you have a good weekend? I can't believe it's Monday already, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised, with as fast as the year is going. I didn't do anything but pack this weekend.
Anyway, I've got a fun post for you today. My super awesome friend Rochelle and I were speaking about trying to keep our mojo flowing, while FYI is on hiatus, and decided that we'd do a just for fun challenge. I'm not sure how often we'll do them, but there will be a couple, at least. So for our challenges, I'm choosing a photo for inspiration, and she's choosing what elements we both have to use. Our first challenge includes chevron stripes, tags, and this inspiration photo.
Is this not stunning?! I absolutely LOVE this photo!! Talk about inspiring. I would love to witness something so amazing, in real life. Here is the card I created using the elements and photo.
I know the tag looks a bit bare, but it's going to be personalized when I give the card to the recipient. The tag is actually removable, and can be used as a bookmark. I have a feeling I know who'll get this card, along with a gift card to Barnes & Noble, come November. :)
You really should go over and check out what Rochelle made. She's got such an amazing style, and I LOVE everything she makes. It's nothing short of gorgeous, as usual. HERE is her blog link. Also, if you want, you can join us for our just for fun challenge. Just paste the link to your projects in the comments section.
All for me today. I'm off to work, and then more packing tonight. Yay! lol

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #173
Hi y'all!
Sorry I'm running a bit behind this morning. We've begun our end of month, already, and I've worked about 90 hours this week. I totally spaced off posting my card for todays Unscripted Sketches challenge. For all of the details on this weeks challenge, click HERE.
This is the first time I've ever colored, paper pieced, and cut out one of these images to use on a project. I think I may have to do this again. She's SO adorable! The sketch this week is fabulous, as usual, and left a lot of room for interpretation. I've also included THIS challenge and THIS challenge in my card. I do hope my friend likes her card. She's been feeling a bit under the weather lately.
The other US designers have some wonderful projects posted. I do hope you'll get to visit and maybe play along with the challenge this week. We are always so inspired by your projects!
I'm off to pack. I will be moving next week, so I need to get it all done this weekend. I hate moving, but am looking forward to my new adventure.
Have a great day!

Papercraft Star Challenge #109
Howdy!
Happy humpday! How's your week coming along? I'm glad it's Wednesday. This means I only have to be up early for another two days this week, and then I get to sleep in. *happy sigh* Anyone got anything fun and exciting planned for this weekend? There's a new scrapbooking store in the DFW area, so I think I'm going to check it out. :)
Onto why you're visiting today. I have a new Papercraft Star project to share with you. This weeks challenge is Vacation. For all of the details, click HERE.
So, I have a confession to make. I've never been camping. Never. Not even in a camper or RV or anything. I'm not sure why, exactly, I guess I've just never had the opportunity to do so. Anyway, when I was looking through my stash, I found these adorable October Afternoon papers, and immediately knew I wanted to use them. They're perfect for a vacation themed card. I edited, printed, and cut out the highway sign. I then popped it up on top of the main focal panel. It's adorable! I love the realistic look to it too. I hope the recipient of this card likes it. I think it's cute. I've combined the following challenges in my card also.
Deconstructed Sketch #65 - Sketch
Paper Pretties Monday Challenge #53 - Primary Colors (hope mine work)
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Hopefully, you'll get the opportunity to check out the other projects posted by the PCS DT. They're always so wonderful. I'm truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing team!
Have a great day!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #172
Hi y'all!
How was your week? Mine was super busy, with a short trip to Iowa to take care of some family business. It was stressful, working from my cell phone and laptop, but the silver lining was that I got to see my mom again, and I got to see my brother (whom I hadn't seen in almost three years). I'm glad to be home, sleeping in my own bed, and ready to get caught up on some much needed cleaning and laundry.
Anyway, onto why you're here, right? lol I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you. For all of the details on this weeks sketch challenge, click HERE.
I have to say, I dig my card today. I tried flipping the sketch, and changing some of the elements, but nothing was working for me. So, I decided to go for a shaped panel, and use some of my older Nestabilities I hadn't used in a while (the hearts and fancy tags). I don't stamp in white on dark cardstock often, so I like how this sentiment panel looks different. I also really like the seam binding bow with the mini roses. I opted for that instead of the elements on the original sketch. I am going to send this to a friend, hope she likes it.
I do hope you'll head over to see what everyone has created for you today. All of the projects are fantastic, as usual!
That's all for me, as I'm off to run errands, and do some fun stuff. Hope you have a great day!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #171
Hey there!
It's Saturday! Of course, this means I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you. This weeks sketch is fabulous, and I had a lot of fun with it. For all of the details on this weeks sketch challenge, click HERE.
I kept it pretty true to the sketch, and really like how it turned out. The soft colors are perfect, and exactly what I was going for in my card. I'm sorry this is so short, but I'm off to work today. :(
I hope you'll head over to see what the other gals have put together for you today. As always, they're pretty fantastic!
Have a great day!

Papercraft Star Challenge #107
Hi everyone!!
I hope you're having a good week! It's Wednesday and that means I have another Papercraft Star challenge for you. This week we're to incorporate fruit in our projects. For all of the details, click HERE.
To be honest, I had a difficult time getting my idea out of my head and onto my card. I'm spotlighting a couple of digis from The House Across The Bay, and I wanted to really do them justice. I used #112 - Oriental Backgrounds, and #128 - Vibrant Grunge Squares. I'll post them below, so you can see them. They're beautiful! I think I did ok, but my card didn't turn out anything like how I pictured it in my head. I do think my butterfly looks awesome though. I actually colored with my Copics and love it. I think I've decided that I'll just use my Copics and color however I feel like coloring, whether or not there is shading and depth. Maybe just the fact that I'm using them more often will get me into wanting to use them more and more. Anyway, I added my sentiment, and some bling, and was done with everything. I'm going to give this to a friend who needs some cheering up. She's kind of going through a rough spot. Hope she likes it! I've also combined the following challenges in my card. Love when I can do that!
That Craft Place Challenge Blog - Things With Wings
Stampalot Challenge August - Take Flight
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Ooh La La Creations Challenge #111 - Oriental
I do hope you get the chance to head over and see the gorgeous projects posted by the other designers, and maybe play along with this weeks challenge. :)
I'm off to work, and then tonight I get to see some friends. We've been busy with work and other stuff, and I haven't seen them for a while. It will be great to hang out with them again.
Have a wonderful day!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge #170
Hello hello!
Another week has passed, and we're now in the month of August. I'm struggling to wrap my head around how quickly this year is going by. Before we know it, we'll be celebrating Christmas. *sigh* I do hope you had a good week, and are planning a weekend full of crafty goodness. I am! :)
I have another Unscripted Sketches project for you today. This weeks sketch is fantastic, and leaves a lot of room for interpretation. For all of the details on this weeks challenge, click HERE.
I flipped the sketch to suit my idea, and all in all, it turned out pretty well. I seldom use pink, so I tried to step outside the box, and do something I wouldn't do normally. These colors together, in real life, are very pretty though. I'm happy to have another card for my stash.
The other designers at US have created some fabulous projects for you today. Hopefully, you'll get the opportunity to check them out, and maybe join us for this weeks challenge.
Have a great day!

Papercraft Star Challenge #106
Greetings!
It's Wednesday, which brings us to another Papercraft Star challenge. This weeks challenge is: Maps! I was so excited when I saw this because I had received some vintage looking maps as one of my choices from The House Across The Bay, who is our weekly sponsor. They have some amazing digital elements and I was super happy that I got to use one of them today. I would recommend checking them out. For all of the details on this weeks challenge, click HERE.
See what I mean about this map?! I think it totally makes the card, and it's beautiful! I'll post a pic below, with a link to the digital page I used, that has this map. I made this card for a co-worker, and I think she'll love it. I kept it simple, as I didn't want to take anything away from the map. I think I'm going to use these images again. They're really gorgeous.
I do hope you'll head over to see what the other designers have created for you today. They're gorgeous, as usual!
Have a good day!
Hugs!
