Hi everyone!!
I hope you're having a good week! It's Wednesday and that means I have another Papercraft Star challenge for you. This week we're to incorporate fruit in our projects. For all of the details, click HERE.
To be honest, I had a difficult time getting my idea out of my head and onto my card. I'm spotlighting a couple of digis from The House Across The Bay, and I wanted to really do them justice. I used #112 - Oriental Backgrounds, and #128 - Vibrant Grunge Squares. I'll post them below, so you can see them. They're beautiful! I think I did ok, but my card didn't turn out anything like how I pictured it in my head. I do think my butterfly looks awesome though. I actually colored with my Copics and love it. I think I've decided that I'll just use my Copics and color however I feel like coloring, whether or not there is shading and depth. Maybe just the fact that I'm using them more often will get me into wanting to use them more and more. Anyway, I added my sentiment, and some bling, and was done with everything. I'm going to give this to a friend who needs some cheering up. She's kind of going through a rough spot. Hope she likes it! I've also combined the following challenges in my card. Love when I can do that!
That Craft Place Challenge Blog - Things With Wings
Stampalot Challenge August - Take Flight
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Ooh La La Creations Challenge #111 - Oriental
I do hope you get the chance to head over and see the gorgeous projects posted by the other designers, and maybe play along with this weeks challenge. :)
I'm off to work, and then tonight I get to see some friends. We've been busy with work and other stuff, and I haven't seen them for a while. It will be great to hang out with them again.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

Beautifully done ... love the butterfly
Beautiful card, Steph, you did a wonderful job with the digitals and your butterfly is perfect! I know your friend will love it. The Asian theme is brilliant! Have a good week, my friend.
There's no doubt in my mind that your friend will love it, Steph! So pretty! And I'm lovin' that dimensional butterfly!
Steph I think this turned out just great! The grunge square looks perfect with your background paper!

I had to laugh at how you pictured it in your head. I cannot do that even one little bit, it just starts out and then finishes itself ! (and I don't have to take credit for the bad ones that way, lol) Great job this week showcasing those digitals !! Hugs ! -J-
